Abstract
Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the terminology used to describe the cyclical process of identifying problems in the classroom, planning actions to tackle the problem, collecting data, and interpreting the data through reflection. Ideas obtained through the reflection are then implemented to improve the second cycle of process. The process could be repeated (by conducting the third, forth, and even fifth cycle until the targeted results achieved. Since the process is conducted right in the teaching and learning practice in the classroom, it is very effective to analyze the existing practice and make necessary changes for improving the practice. Realizing this, it is obvious that CAR is very potential to develop any teacher’s professional development through the fostering of his/her capability as professional knowledge makers—not merely as professional knowledge users.
